Knowing is the beginning.
Living it is the work.
I’m Sarah Stinson — a coach, writer, and creative partner.
Faking Awesome isn’t about pretending everything’s great. It’s about being real — about noticing where you’re performing and moving toward what’s true.
Because everything’s made up anyway, the power is in choosing what’s real for you.
I work at the intersection of awareness, authorship, and action. My clients and I explore what it means to live with more presence — to notice the patterns that shape us, and to write the next line consciously.
During my 25-year career, I've led teams, built two companies — a marketing agency called Total BS Media and a divorce app called Divvi —
and partnered with startups and Fortune 500s.
I’ve worked in high-growth tech, creative industries, and leadership and team development.
And somewhere between all that building and burning out, I started paying attention — really paying attention — to what drives us and what drains us.
I don’t promise quick fixes or performative progress. I help people excavate what’s true, build from awareness, and live with a devotion to what’s real.
It’s all made up. You might as well be an author.
Where I Come From

to what drives us and what drains us.
What I Do Now
My work is about helping others bridge that same gap — between intellect and intuition, ambition and attention, knowing and living.
I’m not a guru or a “mindset hacker.”
I’m a coach who teaches what it means to see yourself clearly, so you can move through your life and work
with more skill, honesty, and humor.
Knowing isn’t the same as understanding, and understanding isn’t the same as embodiment.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
